The chairman of the National Assembly’s public accounts committee Opiyo Wandayi and vice chairman of the Senate county public accounts and investment committee, Mithika Linturi, have rejected a proposal to shield governors from prosecution.  The council of governors wants sitting governors to enjoy immunity from prosecution just like a sitting president.
