KTN Prime: Two gunmen storm and open fire into a school in Wajir as students sat for KCSE, 22/11/16

22nd November, 2016

Two gunmen stormed Abaqkurey high school in Wajir and opened fire, disrupting a KCSE examination session. The students who had just sat down to tackle their history examination fled into nearing bushes with most of them running towards Wajir town for safety. Sources on the ground tell KTN that the gunmen fled after being repulsed by the security officers who were manning the exam center. The students later reconvened in town and managed to sit for their exams albeit late in Abakore primary school which is about 2 miles from Wajir town.
