KTN Prime: Jeremiah Matoke owner of the collapsed building in Kisii county gets charged in court

In Kisii County, a man believed to be the owner of the building that collapsed last week has been charged with eight counts of manslaughter. Jeremiah Matoke was jointly charged with his structural engineer Jeff Ocharo of unlawfully and negligently causing the death of eight people. The two denied the charges before the Kisii high court and were released on a bond of sh2 million each. Matoke was charged on another count of employing a person who is not a registered engineer by the engineers' board of Kenya.
