10 elected members of the orange democratic movement are now set to lose their seats after they were expelled from the party by the party’s top organ, the national governing council. They include immediate former party secretary general Ababu Namwamba, Kwale governor Salim Mvurya, Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi and six members of parliament. And as Chris Thairu reports, the party will now write a letter to the registrar of political parties to strike out their names within seven days.
