Weekend Prime: The UN mountain ambassador is now in Kenya to asses the state of Kenyan Mountains

Depletion of forest cover is a source of concern for environmentalists and conservationists who have been sounding the alarm bell for a number of years now. The United Nations mountain ambassador his holiness Drikung Kyabgon Thinle Lhundup is currenty in Kenya to assess the state of Kenya’s mountains most notably Mt. Kenya, one of Kenya’s main five water towers. Ktn’s senior reporter carol Nderi accompanied the ambassador who is also a Tibetan monk to the Mt. Kenya forest in Embu county.
