Monday Night News: NTSA deregisters Ongata Line Company as public service vehicle 26/9/2016

The National Transport and Safety Authority has deregistered Ongata Line Company as a public service vehicle operator. This follows Sunday’s accident along Nairobi’s Langata road where 4 people were killed. it emerged that the operator of the matatu belonging to the company had violated traffic regulations. The matatu had last week been detained for flouting traffic rules and was being driven by an unlicensed driver. And according to the Ongata Rongai Matatu Sacco manager the matatu was scheduled to go for service and was not meant to have been operating at all.
