Parliamentary committee on IEBC proposal meets resistance from SUPKEM

Reactions following news of a possible deal that would see new commissioners to conduct the next general election and the supreme council of Kenya Muslims SUPKEM, has reacted angrily to the proposal by joint parliamentary select on IEBC that, the body be included in the nine member special committee that will pick new IEBC commissioners. It says the select committee should not have specified the Muslims who should be nominated to participate in the IEBC selection panel. They say the move is likely to create divisions in supreme council of Kenya Muslims
