1st July, 2016
The trial date for eight lawmakers charged with incitement to violence and hate speech has been set for august 1st. Senior principal magistrate Stella Mutuku issued the orders today when legislators Johnston Muthama, Timothy Bosire and Junet Mohammed appeared before her during mention of their case.
However, MPs Florence Mutua and Aisha Jumwa skipped the session. The magistrate directed the two legislators to appear in court on Monday without fail.
