Deadly skirmishes at the border of Kisumu and Nandi leaves 4 people dead and many more homeless

23rd June, 2016

The Kenyan ministry of interior has issued a shoot to kill order against cattle rustlers whose activities are blamed for the cross border clashes in the Nyando sugar belt. The clashes have now claimed three lives, injured more than ten people and left 80 families homeless at the Nandi-Kisumu border. Kisumu county commissioner, John Elungata and his Kericho counterpart Mukhtar Abdi directed the police to shoot dead any suspected cattle thieves. Rashid Ronald was at the border again today.
