Chase bank set to reopen

20th April, 2016

Hundreds of thousands of Kenyans who have been caught in despair over the last two weeks after the chase bank saga are tonight going to bed with hope that they will get some of their money next week. The central bank of Kenya has announced the troubled bank will indeed reopen and depositors will access their money up to a maximum of 1 million Kenyans shillings. But as fate gave to chase bank customers with one hand, it appeared to take from imperial bank customers with another hand, as a court in Mombasa stopped imperial bank from paying depositors until a petition by billionaire Ashok Doshi is heard.
