Why Jubilee’s much-hyped laptops for primary schools project may finally become a reality

29th March, 2016

The Kenyan government’s much-hyped laptops for primary schools project may finally become a reality. The first batch of 12,000 devices will be distributed to schools in the pilot programme in just over a month. Schools will also get 60,000 shillings each to set up storage facilities for the devices. And as KTN’s Rita Tinina reports, all public primary schools are expected to get tablets for pupils and laptops for teachers by March next year.
