Education CS Fred Matiang'i warns teachers who misuse the cane

Following a public outcry after a video depicting teachers allegedly from a girls high school in Vihiga county caning students went viral, education cabinet secretary dr. Fred Matiang’i visited the school and declared that stern action would be taken against the teachers found culpable. The incident has offset yet again a debate on corporal punishment. And has shown that even though it was prohibited by law it crept back in our schools.
