Two police officers accused of opening fire and killing a fourteen year old girl six months ago have been found guilty of manslaughter. The shooting dead of Kwekwe Mwandaza in her parents’ house in Kinango, Kwale county, sparked off nationwide outrage and condemnation. But the accused argued they opened fire in self defense. The two - former Kinango DCIO Veronicah Gitahi and police constable Issa Mzee - will be sentenced this Friday.
