Spotlight 2017: Epic battle looms as many senators plan to wrestle power from incumbent governors

It may be an epic battle in many counties and with barely 18 months to the 2017 general election, a large number of senators plan to wrest power from incumbent governors. The opportunity to control billions of shillings in the counties could be one of the reasons why 15 of 47 elected senators have declared their interest in the powerful positions. Several legislators have rolled out strategies, among them going back to school, as part of their preparations to challenge incumbent governors next year. Tonight, KTN begins a comprehensive look at issues that may determine the outcome of the next general election.
