23rd December, 2015
A new wave of crime involving vandalism of Kenya power transformers has hit Mombasa with those involved tapping a special powder which they sell to drug users. The substance is used for sniffing or for mixing with other hard drugs for desired results. The vandals are also targeting ordinary KPLC meter boxes installed in homes and offices. Report shows that the powder is fast becoming the new gel among drug abusers with Kenya power now counting losses.
