As the demos went on, anti-corruption detectives were conducting simultaneous searches in the homes of three former top officials of the ministry of devolution and planning, including the home of immediate former devolution cabinet secretary Anne Waiguru. The Kenyan Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission said the detectives were looking for crucial evidence for the prosecution of a case against former Permanent Sectreary Peter Mangiti and former NYS director Nelson Githinji.
