27th November, 2015

Pope Francis has called for cooperation by nations in fighting the damaging effects of climate change on the planet. The Pope, who visited the United Nations Environmental Program headquarters in Gigiri Nairobi, further urged world leaders to seal a strong agreement at the Paris climate change conference that starts next Monday. The pope says that transforming current development models is a political and economic obligation to all nations. Francis planted a tree on the UN grounds, a further symbol to his environmental commitment.
