As Kenya prepares for the pope’s visit next week, some members of the catholic faith in Homabay County have expressed hope he will address the subject of HIV/AIDS and the use of condoms. The Catholic Church has put an absolute ban on use of all contraceptives, including the condom. Though pope Francis is reportedly conservative on matters of sexual morality, he takes a slightly more pragmatic view on contraception.
