27 years-old Samuel Ekiru and 33 years-old Joyce Nyarurii are the overall winners of the second edition of Tour De Machakos. Samuel Ekiru of Kenyan riders 6 min:55:55 to win the men’s category. In the men category Suleiman Kangangi came in second after 6min:56:28 while Josphat Githambo came in third. Davidson Kamau emerged victorious in the veteran category after clocking a total of 7:12:45 while Jesper Fielder came in second after 8:26:17. Lady winner Joyce Nyarurii clocked 8:33:10 in the four day event that covered 279.7 kilometers to take home the sh250,000. Nancy Akinyi came in second after 9min:16:55 while Tabitha Ndungu clocked 9:20:30 to finish the race at position three.
