National Treasury will for the first time float a bond to be traded on mobile phone platforms

The National Treasury will for the first time float a bond targeted specifically at the majority of Kenyans as it seeks to deepen participation in government securities. The five billion shillings infrastructure bond will only be traded on mobile phone platforms eliminating the numerous hurdles that have seen many would be investors shy away from bonds.
