Ministry of Lands now willing to review construction levies

The Ministry of lands has given the strongest indication yet, that it is willing to review construction levies, in a move to open up the sector. Developers currently have to deal with multiple levies ranging from county, Nema and even the National Construction Levy that have made it difficult for most to enter this highly lucrative and fast growing space. ******************** speaking during the first construction conference held at KICC, acting lands CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i indicated that they were keen on facilitating investors by having a conducive environment. The CS hit out at the CA calling on them to relax the levies.
