A former Councillor and owner of 501 heads of cattle stolen prior to the Suguta massacre of over 40 police officers, was the first prosecution witness. Samuel Letipilia with two other witnesses testified in the trial of seven local leaders including an MCA and four interdicted chiefs accused of the murder of 12 police officers. they appeared before Nakuru high court judge Maureen Odero.
