National Assembly sends Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission officials packing
9th July, 2015
The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission is now virtually dead after the national assembly voted to kick out the chief executive officer Halakhe Waqo and his Deputy Michael Mubea. Members of parliament voted 70-39 to send the two home leaving the anti-graft body with no clear leadership. The CEO and his deputy were the only top officers left at the besieged commission after the acrimonious exit of its three commissioners.
