Francis wangusi has been re-appointed to serve for a four-year term as the director-general at the communications authority. According to the Board of Directors, Wangusi emerged the best of the six shortlisted candidates to the position. Wangusi’s current three year term expires on August 22nd. Observers reckon that the move to retain Wangusi was widely anticipated as the board was keen on ensuring continuity at the government body. Wangusi will be tasked with overseeing the transition to digital broadcasting while also ensuring Telecommunications firms follow the quality of service regulations.
