Governors maintain they were not consulted over health plan

Well, it appears that governors were indeed consulted before and during the procurement of the 38 billion shilling health plan launched by the president last week. The government says this was done through the county health representatives. The governors however maintain that the central government did not consult them in a move that could scuttle the health plan seeking to ease the patient load on the only public hospitals capable of handling cancer and kidney problems, the Kenyatta National Hospital and Eldoret’s Moi teaching and referral hospital.
