President Uhuru Kenyatta warns against contruction of shoddy buildings

President Uhuru Kenyatta toured the Mukuru kwa Njenga, Korogocho and Mathare slums in nairobi, where he launched projects aimed at upgrading the livelihoods of the people in these settlements. The projects are geared to involve the youth, further creating job opportunities. President kenyatta also used the forum to warn that all illegally built houses will be brought down and perpetrators punished severely. Under the programme, the government seeks to empower the youth by engaging 3,500 of them from each of the settlements.
