27 negotiation sessions notwithstanding, the teacher’s strike entered its fourth day today, and so far there is no clear end in sight. The government has rejected a 47 billion shilling salary demand by the teachers and proposed a 9.3bn shilling deal for allowances, but the teachers unions have rejected the government’s offer because it lacked a salary component.
