7 women who went to secure circumcision services in the bush were today arrested in the ongoing campaign against female genital mutilation in Transmara east sub county, Narok County. The 7 women who had undergone the cut, were taken to Emurua Dikkir hospital in Kiribwet area as they await to be taken to Kilgoris court. The Transmara east district commissioner has urged the residents to cooperate with the police in order to nab the perpetrators of female genital mutilation.
