Equity bank has received shareholder approval to set up a holding company. The decision was made at an extraordinary general meeting held earlier today. Under the new structure Equity Bank Kenya Limited will now re-brand to Equity Group Holdings Limited. This will see the incorporation of a new subsidiary, Equity Bank Kenya Limited to oversee the banking business of the Kenyan subsidiary.
