Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning Anne Waiguru says the total number of workers on government payroll will be known in a fortnight. Waiguru says the just-concluded two-month exercise to rationalise the public service through biometric data capture was a success. The ministry will now embark on the second phase of assessing capacity and placement of its workforce at both the national and county governments to ensure efficiency in service delivery.
