CMA tightens grip on capital markets
30th September, 2013
The salaries and remuneration commission is this evening talking tough over demands by members of the county assemblies to have their salaries hiked. The commission chairperson, Sarah Srem says they will not be bowed by pressure by the MCAS and instead asked them to accept what they are earning at the moment. Serem also warned that the current strike by the MCAS, will negatively affect the ongoing negotiations over their pay. This emerged as the commission began a two-month job evaluation exercise that will inform salary review for county government employees.
