FKE raises concers on the county budgeting process
19th July, 2013
Employers are raising concern about the county budgeting process, saying governors have failed to give the process the seriousness and professionalism it deserves. Speaking during a press briefing today the federation of kenya employers …said county leadership must go back to the drawing board, and review their expenditures away from wasteful extravagance and instead focus on development. The federation called on the national treasury, the auditor general’s office and the ethics and anti corruption commission to ensure that tax payer funds, are not wasted in frivolous pursuits. Fke is also urging the government to rein-in the country’s runaway expenditure, saying the current scenario threatens economic growth targets and could worsen unemployment and increase poverty levels if they are not dealt with seriously.
