Voter wants 4 presidential candidates barred from vying

A voter has moved to the supreme court seeking to block four presidential aspirants and their running mates from vying in the March poll.the petitioner Isaac Aluochier wants the integrity of the four, Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate, Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Peter Kenneth determined by the court before they can be allowed to contest. According to the petition by Mr Aluochier, the four presidential candidates should not have been nominated as they were constitutionally unqualified. The complainant in his petition argued that the four presidential candidates were legally state officers when they were nominated by their parties to vie for the top seat. Article 137 (2) (b) of the constitution states that a person is not qualified for nomination as a presidential candidate if the person is a state officer or is acting as one.
