A majority of appellate judges have upheld the decision of the high court to hold the next general election in March 2013. Justices Kalpana Rawal, Hannah Okweju , Erastus Githinji and David Maranga ruled that the high court was right in setting the polls date for next year. The independent electoral and boundaries commission followed up the January high court ruling by naming March 4th 2013.
