Allasane Ba, the Mauritanian national, alleged to have assaulted one of his colleagues is still a free man three weeks after these accusations were leveled against him. The Ministry of Foreign affairs has confirmed that he does not enjoy diplomatic immunity and yet, they say Ba has to be awarded due process before the next step of action is taken. Meanwhile, Karen Kandie, the victim of the alleged crime, and a citizen of Kenya, is waiting helplessly for what appears to be opaque justice.
