Operations in the nine branches of Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital in Nairobi were on the low down today after doctors made good their threat to go on strike. A majority of the doctors defied the management’s threats to terminate their contracts and stayed away. The hospital and the doctor’s union have maintained their positions in the standoff.
