Assassination claims trigger tension between communities

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission now says gem mp Jakoyo Midiwo’s claims of a plot to kill prime minister Raila Odinga have triggered tensions between the Kisii and the Luo communities. NCIC chairman Mzalendo Kibunjia revealed they have received credible information that attempts to link Foreign Affairs minister Professor Sam Ongeri to the alleged plot to kill the prime minister could ignite fighting between the two ethnic communities and warned politicians against utterances likely to incite chaos.
