Victims of drought and hunger in Ganze sub-county, Kilifi county are calling on the national and county governments to provide a lasting solution to the perennial pandemic as opposed to food rations. The residents from Palakumi village say only the construction of large dams and digging of several boreholes will help them sustain their lifestyles even during the drought seasons. The residents say “it is three years now since they made a harvest in the area and the drought has been one of the worst in recent times.
