8th October, 2021

The government has started disbursing cash transfers to cushion vulnerable families against drought effects in four drought-stricken counties in the northern frontier. Speaking during the launch of relief food distribution and hunger safety net program in Habaswe in Wajir county, defense cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa says the drought-stricken households have now started to benefit from the 558 million shillings disbursed in the month of august to cushion families affected by drought in the counties of Turkana Marsabit Wajir and Mandera.
