Learners in primary and secondary schools in Samburu central sub county have raised sh300, 000 that will be used to enhance Kenya Red Cross’s response capacity in the region. The funds were raised through a six kilometer humanity walk that brought together students and teachers within Maralal town Samburu central sub county. Kenya Red Cross’s county manager Maurice Onyango said that the raised funds will be used in the initial response as more funds are awaited. The pupils who participated in the humanity walk urged their colleagues to ensure they participate in next year's walk.
