Francis Atwoli take sugar barons head-on

19th August, 2018

Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Muhoroni Member of Parliament Onyango K'oyoo, have called on stakeholders in the sugar sector to enforce zoning of the expansive sugar belts, saying this would make sugarcane growing sustainable. Speaking in Muhoroni during burial of veteran Trade Unionist Raymond Odhuno, the leaders said private owned millers have been buying cane that they don't grow at cheaper prices, and this has made sustaining of the industry a challenge.
