Deaf Empowerment Society of Kenya has decried continued neglect by the national and county governments in allocation of tenders and lack of job opportunities to deaf persons.
The society claims that out of the 3000 deaf persons in Embu only 1% have been employed by various government institutions in the county.
Speaking with the media in his office at Embu town the executive director of Deaf Empowerment Society of Kenya Jacob Ireri explained the of challenges faced by deaf persons as they seek to secure government tenders.
