Nine people have died and at least 20 others seriously injured in a road crash along the Nairobi?Mombasa highway near Sultan Hamud in Makueni County. The accident occurred when the Mombasa bound bus belonging to Buscar Company collided head on with a lorry heading to Nairobi. The bus burst into flames and some of the victims were burned beyond recognition.  The injured are receiving treatment at the Kilome nursing home for treatment while the bodies of the dead have been moved to Makindu mortuary. Police at the scene also indicated that some of the passengers are yet to be accounted for
