Hundreds of secondary school students in Nyamira are set to benefit from Sh100 million bursaries that were signed by Governor John Nyagarama. The proposal to award students with bursaries had been rejected by Controller of Budget, who disputed the idea to involve university students. Although university students were not factored in the first allocation of county bursary, Nyagarama said he would persuade MCAs to come up with a legislation that would also see them benefit.
