As the nation marked the day of the African child, a family in lower Gatanga, Murang’a County were mourning. Their three? and –half years old daughter who went missing 11 days ago was found dead in a dam with some of the organs missing. Her eyes had been gouged out, tongue removed and finger nails chopped off. She was also shaved on one side of the head. Parents of the murdered girl have called for speedy investigations into the matter. She had been left with a friend when her mother, Catherine Njeri, went to church but could not find her when she came back. The body was moved to Thika level 5-hospital mortuary.
