4th February, 2018

The controversy surrounding the ownership of Temple Point resort in Watamu continues to deepen, with residents now accusing the police of being partisan in dealing with them.Police are said to have arrived at the facility, with the intention of executing a court order; reportedly issued to effect the eviction of a Germany investor, Hans Langer. The move was, however, was resisted by the residents, who accused police of siding with two other investors to frustrate Mr. Hans out of the property, valued at around Ksh 1 billion. Police have since denied the allegations, insisting the police officers who were at the facility went there on specific orders to execute court orders. Controversy surrounding the ownership of the temple point resort has been going for long, pitting a Kenyan and Italian investor against a Germany investor.
