Members of the national assembly will this afternoon begin to debate the approval of chief justice nominee David Maraga. National assembly's decision to concur with the justice and legal affairs committee endorsing or rejecting Maraga to head the Supreme Court will see him succeed the retired Willy Mutunga. Or a fresh start to the whole recruitment process the committee chaired by Ainabkoi MP Samuel Chepkonga vetted Maraga on Thursday but asked the house for more time write and table the report. Maraga faced three petitions challenging his approval touching on decisions he made while he served as high court judge.
