Weekend @ One: Wrangles threaten to split Nakuru Jubilee leaders, 8/10/2016

Elected leaders and aspirants in Nakuru county have accused governor Kinuthia Mbugua Bahati member of parliament Kimani Ngunjiri and his Nakuru west counterpart Samuel Arama for hijacking jubilee party leadership. the leaders said Mr Mbugua and his colleagues are claiming to have been endorsed by president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, a move that is misguided and might divide the party as the county heads towards elections. Led by Nakuru town east MP David Gikaria Nakuru county assembly speaker Susan Kihika they accused the trio of endorsing fake officials to run the party’s affairs. Subukia MP Nelson Gaichuhie said the governor and the two MPs are misleading voters who will be involved in party leadership after receiving directive from the party headquarters in Nairobi.
