Weekend @ One: Murang'a religious leaders endorse CJ nomination, 25/9/2016

25th September, 2016

Religious leaders from Muranga have endorsed the nomination of Justice David Maraga as the country’s next chief justice. Thika ACK bishop Julius Wanyoike said Maraga was equal to the task and expressed hope that he would end corruption in the country. He was speaking at the ACK memorial academy grounds in Thika during the church’s education and prize giving day. Maraga was picked by JSC on Thursday last week and now awaits confirmation after vetting by parliament and the formal appointment by the president.
