Two people were shot dead and died on the spot after being shot by unknown gunmen in Kitale. The incident led to protests by residents of Gitwamba area who said police are not doing enough to contain runaway insecurity. The area which is a few kilometers from the Kenya Uganda border has in the recent past experiences various forms of robbery with several people losing their lives.
